About Gail Greenhut
I received my Masters in Social Work (MSW) in 1978 in Michigan where I grew up. I moved to Gainesville, FL in 1981, where I have lived ever since. I became licensed in Florida as a therapist (LCSW) in 1982. I provided therapy in a variety of outpatient and inpatient mental health and substance abuse agencies until 1990. Then I began working half time at Shands Hospital in1990 in the social work department and also joined Gainesville Family Institute half time in private practice as a psychotherapist in1992. After 20 years, I left Shands in 2011 and continued providing therapy at Gainesville Family Institute.
As of April 2022, I have moved to my own psychotherapy office at 1810 NW 6th St, Suite C.
